The Lineman Gridiron Games

2 or more team entry = $150 per team

Scoring System: In GOLF scoring for each event, points are awarded as follows: 1st place earns 1 point, 2nd place receives 2 points, 3rd place gets 3 points, and so on. The objective is to accumulate the lowest total points across 10 events. In the event of a tie, the team with the highest number of 1st place finishes will be declared the winner. If teams are still tied after considering 1st place finishes, the number of 2nd place finishes will serve as the tiebreaker.

4:20 – There will be a big group picture in the endzone closer to the scoreboard side. 

4:30 – Start of Gridiron games

Each station will last 10 minutes, 2 min transition between stations. (we will adjust this if needed)

ARRIVE EARLY TO WARM UP. ONCE THE GRIDIRON GAMES BEGIN, THERE WILL NOT BE A WARM-UP PERIOD AT EACH STATION.

ALL BAGS ARE TO BE PLACED ANYWHERE ON THE TRACK UP AGAINST THE FENCE. NOTHING SHALL BE PLACED ON THE ENTIRE TURF FIELD. YOU CAN PLACE BELONGINGS ON THE GRASS AREA BY THE VOLLEYBALL NETS OR IN BLEACHERS

IF YOU READ ANYTHING READ THIS… = MOST EVENTS INVOLVE PLAYERS STARTING AND STOPPING A STOP WATCH TO GET THEIR TIME. THE FIRST PERSON WILL START THE CLOCK AND THE LAST PERSON WILL STOP THE CLOCK. MOST EVENTS INVOLVE STANDING BEHIND AN AGILITY PAD BEFORE THE NEXT TEAMMATE GOES. BE SURE TO WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE TAGGED BEFORE THE NEXT PLAYER LEAVES FROM BEHIND THE PAD.

Each station will be 10 minutes long. You will be grouped with 2 or 3 other teams, and each team will have one opportunity to complete the event within the 10-minute window.

There will be a 2-minute transition between stations.

  1. Bench Press: Max reps of 185 lbs in 30 seconds per person. Each person has 30 seconds to complete their reps (team score is based on total max reps). There will be one continuous running clock (3 MINUTES) so the next person up needs to get in there quickly so as to not lose a lot of time. WARM UP NOTE: Each team will be able to warm up before 4:30pm. Once the events start, there will not be time for a warm up.
  2. Big Tire Flip: Each person must complete 5 flips as quickly as possible before the next teammate can go. Other players can help from the tire rolling around.
  3. Weight Stack: A pyramid stack of weights will be set up (3×45 lbs, 2×35 lbs, and 1×25 lb on top). The goal is to take the weights off and restack them 5 yards away in the same configuration. Each person will do this.
  4. Kettlebell Relay: The objective is to move 4 kettlebells from one box to another (one by one) in the fastest time possible. Every participant must move all 4 kettlebells before the next person can go. The weights will be 50, 45, 40, and 35 pounds. If a kettlebell falls off of the box, you must pick it up before getting the next kettlebell. FIRST PERSON CAN STAND BY THE BOX WITH THE KETTLEBELLS ON THEM. BE SURE THAT ALL OF THE PLAYERS ARE STANDING BEHIND THE AGILITY MAT BEFORE THEY ARE TAGGED. ONCE THE TAG OCCURS, THEN THE NEXT PLAYER CAN ADVANCE. https://youtu.be/JDDh0HxDFmY
  5. Sled Push and Pull: Push the sled from the sideline to past the hash marks and then pull it back. You must pull it back with your feet stationary; walking it back is not allowed. All 5 players must complete this before the time stops. There will be 2-45# plates on the sled. BE SURE THAT THE SLED IS FULLY PAST THE HASH MARKS AND FULLY PAST THE SIDELINES. BE SURE THAT ALL OF THE PLAYERS ARE STANDING BEHIND THE AGILITY MAT BEFORE THEY ARE TAGGED. ONCE THE TAG OCCURS, THEN THE NEXT PLAYER CAN ADVANCE. https://youtu.be/kIGPHBsqQWQ
  6. Overhead Slam Ball Toss Perform an overhead toss from one sideline to the other. The ball must fully cross the sideline on the opposite side. Once the ball is past the sideline, the next person in line must run to retrieve it. Some individuals may go more than once, maintaining the same order. THE BALL MUST FULLY PASS THE SIDELINE. THE LAST PERSON TO DO THE OVERHEAD TOSS CAN NOT BE THE ONE WHO RUNS IT BACK. BE SURE THAT ALL OF THE PLAYERS ARE STANDING BEHIND THE AGILITY MAT BEFORE THEY ARE TAGGED.   7. Wheelbarrow Relay: 3 teammates will stand behind one agility pad, while the other 2 will be behind the other agility pad on the other end.  The first person will load the wheelbarrow with slam balls, walk/run it past the designated line, and dump out the slam balls. After the player dumps the balls out, that player has to run and tag the next player in line. The next teammate will refill the wheelbarrow and move it past the designated line and unload. This process continues until all five players have completed their turn.  The first person can position their slam balls as they wish before starting, provided the balls are not stacked on top of each other. BE SURE THAT THE BALLS ARE DUMPED PAST THE DESIGNATED LINES. BE SURE THAT PLAYERS ARE STANDING BEHIND THE AGILITY MAT BEFORE THEY ARE TAGGED.   8. Farmers Handle RELAY: Each teammate will walk with the farmers handles around the box and back in a relay format. Each player must have their feet past the sideline before putting the farmers handles down. You may drop the farmers handles at any point if needed. You may drop the farmers handles at any point if needed but the next person cannot go until the current person completes their down and back. BE SURE THAT YOU ARE PAST THE SIDELINE BEFORE YOU DROP THE FARMERS HANDLES AND GO TO TAG YOUR TEAMMATE. BE SURE THAT ALL OF THE PLAYERS ARE STANDING BEHIND THE AGILITY MAT BEFORE THEY ARE TAGGED.   9. 2-Man Deadlift: The goal is to complete a total of 25 deadlifts as quickly as possible, with each player performing a total of 10 deadlifts. There will be 375 pounds on the barbell. You must FULLY standup at the top of each repetition.
  • Starting the Relay: Players will form a line. The first two players, Player 1 and Player 2, will each complete 5 deadlifts.
  • Rotation: After completing their 5 deadlifts:
    • Player 1 moves to the back of the line.
    • Player 2 steps aside, allowing Player 3 to take their place.
  • Continuing the Sequence: Players 2 and 3 will then complete their 5 deadlifts. Once Player 2 finishes, they exit the rotation. Player 3 will then work with Player 4 to complete the next set of 5 deadlifts.
  • Final Set: This continues until all players have completed their sets. Player 5 will team up with Player 1 for the final set of 5 deadlifts. The relay runs in this manner until all 25 deadlifts are completed. The team’s goal is to finish as quickly as possible. https://youtu.be/fixMB47nCPg
